About Us
Kidz Kabin was started by local resident Linda Symons and she continues to innovate and run the nurseries. Linda has a drive to learn and implement the best possible practice at all three nurseries.
In the mid-nineties, Linda saw a gap in childcare and felt inspired to provide a service that recognised the importance of working closely with families and focusing on the needs of the individual child. She began as a childminder in her home and since then, Kidz Kabin has grown into 3 established North London nursery settings.
Kidz Kabin officially opened in Muswell Hill in 2011, in the purpose-built Pembroke Studios where it is located today. Since then we have been providing local parents with excellent childcare and the support they need to return to work. We have close relationships with local schools to support preschoolers in that transition. During the pandemic our Pembroke Studios setting was trusted to work with local government to stay open and provide childcare for key workers.
Most recently Linda has brought Forest School to Kidz Kabin. Linda qualified as a Forest School Leader and then as a trainer to teach others to lead forest schools. She has brought the principles of outdoor learning to the children and staff at Kidz Kabin to enhance their experiences and child development in wooded, natural settings.
There are so many benefits gained from outdoor play and engaging with the natural world. We link these to themes such as looking after our planet and building mobility and imaginative skills.
Linda leads by example with dedication and a passion for learning and teaching. She employs a team of enthusiastic, highly qualified staff who nurture children in a safe and caring environment. Linda encourages staff to further their own learning and practice by supporting them in CPD opportunities while at Kidz Kabin.

Upcoming Events at Kidz Kabin: Theatre Trip to the Arts Depot!
We are delighted to be taking children to see the winter show at the Arts Depot in North Finchley on various dates in December.
We love taking the children from all 3 settings to see theatre, enabling them to engage with performing arts, new stories or new ways of experiencing familiar stories.
