Kidz Kabin was founded by local Muswell Hill resident and parent Linda Symons, who saw a need for childcare that truly supported families and valued every child as an individual. From humble beginnings as a childminder in her home, Linda has grown Kidz Kabin into three thriving nursery settings, while keeping the same warm, personal approach at the heart of everything.

A Vision for Change
In the mid-nineties, Linda recognised a gap in childcare and set out to create something special — a place where families feel supported and every child is truly seen as an individual.
2011
Kidz Kabin Opens Its Doors
The first Kidz Kabin nursery opened in the purpose-built Pembroke Studios in Muswell Hill. A welcoming space designed to nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence.
2015
Adventure at Fortismere
Our second nursery opened at Fortismere, with a focus on outdoor play and exploration. Here, children connect with nature through hands-on learning and plenty of fresh air.
2016
A Growing Family
With the opening of Shropshire Hall in Wood Green N22, Kidz Kabin continued to expand its community, offering more families the same caring, high-quality early years experience.
2020 +
Resilience and Innovation
During the pandemic, our Pembroke Studios team supported local government and key workers by staying open safely and reliably. In the years since, Linda introduced Forest School across all sites, taking early years education beyond the classroom and into the great outdoors.
Passionate About Outdoor Learning
Linda is a fully qualified Early Years Teacher and Forest School Leader and Trainer, bringing nature-led learning to life for Kidz Kabin children. From den-building to bug hunting, our children learn confidence, resilience and curiosity through nature. We connect these experiences to bigger ideas like protecting the planet, imaginative storytelling and physical development.

To provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop through play. We aim to support each child's individual growth by promoting self-confidence, independence and social skills while ensuring they are well-prepared for their future education. We are committed to offering high-quality care, promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering a community of kindness, tolerance and equal opportunities for all children.

Linda leads by example with her passion for teaching and learning, inspiring a team of enthusiastic, highly qualified practitioners who nurture every child in a safe and caring environment.
Our exceptionally low staff turnover means children are supported by familiar, trusted adults who know them well, helping them feel secure as they grow and develop.
Linda encourages staff to further their own learning and practice by supporting them in CPD opportunities while at Kidz Kabin.
